Lynn Mally is Professor Emerita at the University of California, Irvine.  Long active as a Russian historian, she began to shift her emphasis to fashion history in the last years of her career.  She has published research on fashion in several journals, including Dress, the journal of the Costume Society of America.  Her long-running research blog, www.americanagefashion, examines the clothing of older American women.
