William (Will) Aepli is a US Chess Federation "Expert", four-time Wyoming state chess champion, and private chess coach. Will studies Ecology and Evolutionary Biology (major) and Russian (minor) as part of Princeton's Class of 2026. Will started playing chess tournaments in high school and earned the "Expert" title while a sophomore in college. He believes that people of all ages can learn to play and enjoy chess. Will’s favorite opening is the Giuoco Piano, and his favorite chess piece is the knight.
