| MADSkillz Pickleball is a Madison-based women-owned small business providing private lessons, group clinics, and classes to adults and children of all ages throughout Madison and Morris County. Founded in 2025, owners Lisa Moro and Sharon Streit are PPR Certified Pickleball Instructors and have been playing and teaching pickleball for over five years.
After many years as a tennis player, Lisa began teaching tennis in 2019 for USA Sports and quickly parlayed her teaching expertise into coaching pickleball, receiving her certification in 2021. In addition to many hours of teaching on the courts, Lisa is a USA Pickleball Ambassador, frequently volunteering her time at local Madison public schools, where she teaches pickleball to children and works to secure grants for the schools to purchase pickleball equipment. She spearheaded the local Madison pickleball community group, which has grown to over 600 members and runs the annual MEF Pickleball Tournament, raising thousands of dollars for the Madison Education Foundation over the past four years. She coaches in Madison and at Home Court Pickleball Club in Cedar Knolls.
Sharon also started her pickleball journey as a tennis player, and in 2021, she picked up her first pickleball paddle and has been hooked ever since. She received her PPR certification in 2022 and competes in tournaments and on local pickleball teams that travel throughout NJ and PA. With a love for sports, Sharon utilizes her skills in tennis, softball, and golf to teach foundational skills to all her students. Sharon is a Paddle Ambassador for Diadem Sports and volunteers for the MEF Pickleball Tournament each year, as well as in local elementary schools. She coaches in Madison and at Home Court Pickleball Club in Cedar Knolls.
Lisa and Sharon have taught a diverse range of players, including children, teens, adults, and seniors. Safety and fun (in that order) are their top priorities. MADSkillz Pickleball is dedicated to teaching individuals how to play pickleball in a safe, fun, and welcoming environment. Our mission is to grow our community of players of all levels and give back to Madison by raising money to help maintain and enhance our community courts through the Madison Sports Community Improvement Project.
