Nestled along the South Branch of the Raritan River near Califon, Ken Lockwood Gorge is one of New Jersey's most scenic yet lesser-known natural treasures. Its fast-moving, boulder-strewn waters create one of the state's most beautiful stretches of river and are renowned for excellent trout fishing. We'll enjoy an easy, leisurely walk along the flat gravel road that follows the river for approximately three miles. Because parking is very limited, this outing will take place on a weekday, and we'll plan to arrive early. Carpooling is encouraged. LED BY KIRK BARRETT
