Anyone can read and write poetry, so why does it sometimes seem like a room you cannot enter? Are you curious about poetry but never understood it well while in school? Would you like to learn more about how poets build poems, what to notice when reading them, and how to better enjoy one of the most enduring forms of human expression? In this class, we will spend time looking at poems by modern and contemporary poets and discuss what makes them sing. Though not a workshop per se, there will be time in each session to write a little on your own and share if you want to.
