This course guides students on an engaging and in-depth exploration of European cinema, focusing on the cultural, historical, and aesthetic aspects that have defined and enriched the artform. Through screenings, lectures, and discussions, students will learn to recognize and appreciate important movements, techniques, and figures in European film history. Highlighting four seminal films that span the 20th century, this course is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the evolution and diversity of film as an artform.
