This casual, hands-on, year long class covers the science, art and joy of gardening. We'll cover planning & propagation, plant ID and selection, vegetable gardening, climate adaptation, and much more. Adults 18 and over only. This class will take place over the fall and spring semester.

JOY YAGID started gardening at the age of 5. She has learned through trial and error as well as taking classes at Rutgers as well as having taken this very class over 20 years ago. She also created and is the admin of the SOMA NJ Gardening Facebook group. She does garden consulting and is a member of the Maplewood Garden Club.
