This lecture will follow the Beatles as they embark on the creation of their 8th studio album – Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band. We will explore the genesis of how the songs were written, their influences, recording and production techniques and the iconic cover art. In addition, we will discuss the album’s legacy, which not only defined the counterculture of a generation, but which continues to influence contemporary society. 

VINNIE BRUNO is a Beatles scholar and sixties rock historian. For the past 18 years he has lectured extensively on the Beatles and the sixties at universities, colleges, libraries and community centers.
