0855) GARDENING

Our yearlong Gardening Class is intended for gardeners both relatively new to horticulture and those with many years’ experience. The course has two sessions, Fall and Spring, and covers many timely topics such as ‘best’ backyard practices, propagating from cuttings, lawn maintenance, container gardening, landscape design, growing vegetables, shrub pruning, seed starting, gardening on the web. Each discussion will start with basic elements, then address gardening practices and expand to a more horticultural understanding. Classes include practical work and are supplemented with other greenhouse availabilities. Growing medium and pot supplies are provided. Of course all plants are for you to take home to your gardens! The class instructor, DAVID NIAL, trained at Brooklyn Botanic Garden and has gardened in Maplewood for 35 years.
