WE190930) Better Balance and Fall Prevention - Circuit Format
 

Did you know that one-third of adults over age 65 fall each year, and that falls are the leading cause of injury-related deaths for that age group? Join us for this balance improvement program that includes stretching, strengthening and dynamic balance activities.

Participants must be living independently in the community, not currently using a walker (cane is okay), and no more than two falls in the last six months. Participants must be able to perform some repetitive activities, such as sit to stands and moving side-to-side.

The Better Balance class usually meets twice a week, for eight weeks, on Mondays and Fridays, 1:45–2:45pm - 16, one-hour classes in total. This sometimes varies due to holidays or instructor schedules.

Note: It is recommended that participants check with their healthcare provider before beginning an exercise class.
