Mike Rassweiler is president of the Northeast Organic Farming Association of New Jersey (NOFA-NJ) and runs North Slope Organic Farm in Lambertville, N.J. He first chose a career in agriculture after learning about the ecological challenges facing our world. Agriculture provides for our basic needs, he felt, and if practiced with respect for ecology would help to create a regenerative and healthy future. After gaining experience on a variety of New Jersey farms, Mike invested in land in Hunterdon County and set out to establish a profitable agricultural business. Mike’s goal is to foster farmer training in organic management practices, providing wholesome food and ecological services to local communities along the path to a better future.
