Joanne Chanin is a communications specialist and educator. From 2015-2023, she was an adjunct instructor in the Communication Arts department at Molloy University, Rockville Centre, NY, where she taught writing and public speaking courses. Prior to her tenure at Molloy, Joanne was  a job readiness instructor at New York City nonprofit organizations. She also had a special occasion writing business, Personal Verse.

Earlier in her career, she was a senior public relations professional, with work in the healthcare, technology and consumer products industries. She managed awareness, advocacy and media programs and wrote a wide range of product, corporate and press-related materials.

Joanne holds an M.Ed. degree from Rutgers University and a B.A. in education/English from Queens College.
