In Face the Music II, you will play popular songs in class singly and in groups, while continuing to further your understanding of music theory. Each session during the ten-week semester will include reviewing song forms, key and time signatures, scales, note values, more advanced chords, tablature, and playing the guitar on the upper frets. Songs in pop/rock, jazz/blues, country and other genres will be analyzed and played. Resources for the class will also include, but not be limited to, backing tracks, optional songs just for fun, and optional references for further independent study. An acoustic guitar in good condition with new strings installed in advance of the start of the workshop is strongly suggested. Internet access to download course materials is required.
