Session B - Nov. 2 — A Rocky Road Ahead: Public Higher Education: Michael Bernstein, President, The College of New Jersey, will speak on the intersecting financial, political, and historical forces reshaping the mission and future of public institutions of higher learning, with a focus on New Jersey. Shrinking enrollments due to a demographic cliff; state disinvestment and student debt undermining college budgets; and an erosion in public confidence are among the issues facing these schools.
