Session A - Oct. 5 — Flawed Hero of Resistance: Douglas G. Morris, law professor and author, will speak on resistance before and during the Nazi regime, 1933-1945. The Lutheran pastor, Dietrich Bonhoeffer, rejected Nazi racism, though his political resistance was flawed. His religious faith stirred his anti-Nazism, but his ambivalence towards Jews risked exposing them to increased dangers. He neglected the principle of equality under secular law which the Nazi regime relentlessly attacked and that set limits in disturbing ways.
NOTE: Lectures will be held at Pastiamo Pasta Bar & Café, in the Princeton Shopping Center, 301 N. Harrison St., Princeton, NJ.
