Are you curious, but cautious, about starting exercise?
A safe exercise program protects your joints, uses your bones and muscles carefully, and finds the right level of effort for you. It’s especially important for a mature beginner or anyone looking to exercise consistently over time. The benefits come from regular exercise, not starting and stopping because of injury or frustration.
In this class you’ll see examples of how to do this with both gym and home exercises. We’ll discuss the health benefits of weight training, including bone density, and how to safely do cardio, weights, and stretching. We’ll finish with suggestions on how to organize a regular workout, and some resources to help you get started.
NOTE: All classes are held at Optimal Exercise Studio, 27B Maplewood Avenue, Cranbury, a non-traditional gym studio. Wear comfortable workout clothes and sneakers.
