Making sense of the past in the micro-memoir form can be empowering and transformative for writers and readers. Gathering multiple pieces according to theme, chronology, place, or imagery within a cover can expand and deepen our understanding of the narrator’s journey. Students will learn about these compact collections known as “chapbooks,” get feedback on several new pieces of micro-memoir, and combine them with existing work to create their own chapbook. Bookbinding methods and materials will be chosen and paid for by students.
