This one-hour program explores the broader meaning of the Underground Railroad—a secret network that helped enslaved individuals escape to freedom—and highlights Bucks County’s essential role. You will learn how the railroad was organized and hear about the heroic people who made it possible. You will also learn about the railroad’s hidden stops in our region (including some you can still visit in nearby Yardley, Pennsyl vania) and gain an understanding of the significance of the his toric Slate Hill Cemetery in Lower Makefield Township, PA.
