403) Monday: Adult Beginner Ceramics (In-Person)
 

Designed for students who have no experience with ceramics. In this sampler class, join teaching artist Sue Hanks in a study of handbuilding and wheel throw with clay. Learn the materials and basic beginner techniques to get started. Daily demonstrations, and hands on instruction for the beginner will be the focus. 

Registration in a ceramics class includes the following: first bag of clay, firings, use of studio slips, oxides, and glazes. Please bring to the first class: ceramic tool kit [available at Michael's or Jerry's Artarama or online at this link: https://tinyurl.com/3sdtv2ej], 1 gallon bucket, yogurt or tupperware container with lid, and sponge [any kind!] to this class.

Instructor

Susan Hanks received a BA(Hons) Constructed Textiles for Fashion,(knit, weave and tapestry) from Middlesex University in the UK.Originally from London, her family relocated to Princeton in 2000 and she was introduced to the ACP when her children attended summer camps there. She began taking painting and ceramics classes at the ACP where over the years she has enjoyed the opportunity to further her own education, volunteer and teach summer camps and ceramics classes
