131A) Qi Gong meets Forest Therapy (In-person)

Section A: Sat., 9:00 am-12:00 pm, Oct. 16, 1 session

Section B: Sat. 9:00 am-12:00 pm, Oct. 23, 1 session

During a three hour walk that will cover no more than a mile of trail, students will be introduced to the many benefits of meditation and to reconnecting with the More Than Human World. Walks are local, accessible and mild in pace and effort. Qi Gong is a series of slow forms for the body and the mind and is the precursor to Tai Chi and Kung Fu. We will connect to and listen to the trees with the sound of the Native American flute. Qi (Chi) energy will be practiced with standing meditations through the walk. Forest therapy walks involve invitations to reawaken the senses and one's connection to the natural world. All students are required to follow safety precautions as mandated by the NJ Department of Health.
