A fairly fast knit—in the round with double-pointed needles and single piece construction, perfect for chilly nights or frosty mornings. They feature 2-color stranded knitting, double-point knitting in the round, back and forth knit and purl work, and a crocheted edge. Students will learn knitting and purling in colorwork, reading charts, felting.

Skills needed: Basic knitting skills, increases and decreases, using double-pointed needles. Materials needed: Purchased pattern, size 4 or 5 double pointed needles, stitch markers, tapestry needle, 2 colors dk weight yarn (Note: A pair of slippers takes a total of 120-140 yards. You will be able to knit 3 slippers from 2 skeins of Rauma Strikkegarn or Brooklyn Tweed Shelter).
