400) Broadway: Setting the Stage for 2020 and Beyond
 

How does a show get to Broadway? Ever wondered what happens behind the scenes? Hear from TONY award winning producer, Jane Dubin, about what it takes to get to Broadway from start to finish. Broadway is currently closed through 2020. Learn about how the pandemic is impacting Broadway and how artists are adapting through virtual media. What will theater look like in 2021?  There will be live Q & A as part of this presentation. We are also accepting questions in advance of the presentation.

Instructor Jane Dubin -  TONY Award-winning producer and President of Double Play Connections, committed to supporting emerging artists and playwrights in the development of new works.  Jane is a graduate of CTI’s 14-week and O’Neill Center Intensive Producing Workshops and co-Director of Theater Resources Unlimited’s Producing Master Class. 

Jane is a full member of the Broadway League, Co-President of the Board of Houses on the Moon Theater Company and past Board member of the League of Professional Theatre Women. She co-curated Hudson Valley Writers Center’s New Play Reading Series; co-produced Hudson River Rising events in Westchester for One Billion Rising (V-Day); was strategic consultant to SPACE; and Grand Juror for NYMF’s 2015-19 seasons.

Prior to theater, Jane was in the financial services industry, first as Managing Director at ECMC (Equitable) and then as Principal and Director of Marketing for a private investment firm.  Ms. Dubin has an MBA in Finance (NYU) and is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of Rochester, (BA, Mathematics, MS, Public Policy Analysis), where she earned an internship at the White House.
