This course is prerequisite to prepare students to take the New Jersey State Examination (written and skills) for Nursing Assistant in a long-term care facility. The course is divided into two parts; 50 hours of classroom theory at PCTI and 40 hours of clinical. This course is open to all persons interested in becoming a state certified nursing assistant. Cost does not include books, uniforms or state exam.
Students must have a recent Physical, 2-Step Mantoux PPD Test and proof of Hepatitis B Vaccination. Also, Valid Social Security number is required!
You will also need to bring your social security card to class on the first night for verification. This is reported to the state department along with an application.
Note: Fingerprinting and Criminal background Investigation (CBI) Application is required to be completed and submitted prior to taking your CNA Test.
