B708) Certified Nurse Aide - Summer

Do you genuinely enjoy helpingother people?  Within one semester, students can receive the training needed to land a good job.  Certified Nurse aides provide important care, such as taking vital signs, providing bed baths, dressing & feeding patients, helping patients walk, transporting patients and even charting in some facilities.  After successful completion students will be eligible to take the NJ Certified Nursing Aide (CNA) exam.  The textbook & state practical & written exam fees are not included in the tuition.

Approved by the NJ Department of Health and Senior Services, this 90-hour course prepares students for the fastest growing job in the U.S. This course meets the 50 hours of classroom and 40 hours of clinical instruction requirements to prepare students for employment in long-term care and assisted living facilities, adult medical day care and some hospitals. 

Admission Requirements: Students are required to attend orientation, complete the Test of Adult Basic Education (TABE), and obtain and bring medical clearance, immunization information and a Two-Step PPD (Tuberculosis Skin Test) from your personal physician by the first day of class. All fees, class and clinical dates and times subject to change.

Clinical Portion of this class will be held at Foothill Acres Rehabilitation & Nursing Home in Hillsborough, NJ
Students are responsible for their own transportation.

Orientation is mandatory and will be on Thursday, May 20 from 10 am - 2 pm at our Bartles Corner Campus. At this time, students will be given an entrance exam (TABE) and all other necessary forms.
