436) Gettysburg: Turning Points
 

After stunning victories at Fredericksburg and Chancellorsville, Robert E. Lee invades the North  in hopes of capitalizing on the public’s war weariness to force a negotiated settlement. We’ll discuss what occurred in a place where neither side planned to fight, including key parts of the battle that have been underappreciated through the years.
