427) Brew Your Own Beer
 

Learn the step-by-step process to brew your own beer! The first week we will brew a 5-gallon batch of beer and go through the brewing process in detail:sanitizing equipment, steeping of grains, hop additions, cool down and pitching of yeast. Class time: 3-4 hours. Week two will include checking the fermentation of the beer and discussions on malts, hops, grains, yeast and sampling of beer styles.Class time: 1-2 hours. Finally, week three will include the bottling process from sanitizing the bottles to transferring and bottling the beer. Class time: 2-3 hours. You will take home your own brewed beer. $10 material fee due to instructor the first night.
