Handbuilding for Continuing Intermediate to Advanced Students

Join a small class and work on your handbuilding techniques. Numerous restrictions to protect student health in small yurts require prior experience at Glen Echo Pottery (GEP).

You must have taken at least one class at GEP within the past 5 years and work at a skill level of intermediate to advanced to be eligible to enroll.

Students will have the opportunity to work on coil, pinch, slab, sculpting and other types of handbuilding construction, with coaching from an instructor. Students are required to wear a mask and practice social distancing at all times in all GEP indoor and outdoor facilities. Strict safety protocols to protect students and instructors are in place for all aspects of the program, including glazing, firing and cleaning/sanitizing equipment and work areas. Open studio hours are offered through an online sign-up process. Clay and firing fees extra. More info: (A) kira.kibler@gmail.com; (B) davideps50@gmail.com; (C) Laruta2@hotmail.com. Minimum age 18.
