 Pottery for Adults & Teens

Intermediate to Advanced Home Studio Independent Study for Continuing Students

This class allows wheel students and handbuilding students with home studios to create their pieces at home and then bisque, glaze and final fire at the pottery studio facilities. Numerous restrictions to protect student health in small yurts require prior experience at Glen Echo Pottery.

You must have taken at least one class at GEP and work at a skill level of intermediate to advanced to be eligible to enroll.

Students are required to wear a mask and practice social distancing at all times in all GEP indoor and outdoor facilities.  Strict safety protocols to protect students are in place for all aspects of the program, including glazing, firing and cleaning/sanitizing equipment and work areas. Glazing timeframes will be offered through an on-line sign-up system. Firing fees are not included in tuition price; clay may be purchased through the studio.

Please Note: students can work any day of the week. Minimum age 18.  For information, contact Jeff Kirk: jeffrogs@aol.com.
