Fall 2019 Classes will begin on September 16, 2019. Here's What's Happening!!!

Have fun, meet people, and learn something new this Fall at the Community School of New Hope-Solebury. With classes in arts, cooking, computers, hobbies, language, writing and more, there’s something for everyone.  Classes for adults and families range from one-night sessions to eight-week in-depth courses. 

Whether it’s computer classes to brush up your job skills or learn how to use eBay, the Community School’s instructors teach each student at their comfort level. Hands-on cooking classes feature new Vegan, Vegetarian, and Indian flavors.  Fitness and dance classes during the day or night include Tai Chi, yoga, jazz, belly dancing and a new Friday night Country Line Dancing class.

Since New Hope is known for the arts, there are classes in painting, drawing, print making, and crafts in flower arranging and upholstery. Photography classes include digital, iphotography, Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom. Those planning to travel or improve business skills can take Spanish and Italian or Sign Language. Writers can join a Life Storytelling Workshop or Creative Writing- Cross Genres.

To celebrate New Hope’s uniqueness, there are classes in Aging Backwards, Angel Cards, Meditation to Reduce Stress, Numerology Bracelets, and Crystal Singing Bowls.  Practical courses include Antique Clocks, Bicycle Repair, Container Gardening, and Home Downsizing. Game lovers can learn or improve their Bridge game or join a new class on playing Chess.

The Community School was founded in 1978 as an independent, non-profit organization. Most classes are held evenings at New Hope-Solebury High School, 182 W. Bridge St. in New Hope. We are now using the new Main Entrance of New Hope-Solebury High School. Use the long driveway next to the Living Earth off of Bridge Street, then proceed to the rear Athletic Parking area for the new Main High School entrance - SEE MAPS & PHOTOS on the FAQ page,(click here).

 


  

Refund Policy Revised: Recognizing how busy you all are and that you might therefore be reluctant to register while your future plans are still uncertain, we have revised our Refund Policy to allow full refunds up to the day before class starts. See the details under FAQ. So - why not Register now!

Community School Registration:

If your email address has changed since you last registered, please log in using your old email address and then update the changes to your profile for future access.

We welcome new and returning students to our new website and registration system. For your convenience and ours, we have invested in acquiring a much more user friendly and free online registration system. See "FAQ - Ways to Register" for details.

There is no fee for telephone registration or for online or any other forms of registration. We suggest that you try the convenient online system first, if you have any problem you can always call and then use the operator assisted registration if necessary at 215-297-0500 weekdays between 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Messages left on the system will receive a call back within 24 hours. You can also send an e-mails to info@csnhs.org for prompt assistance with your registration. 

 

Course Catalog:

The new paper version of the Course Catalog for the Fall 2019 semester will be available in mid August and on this website; about 62,000 copies of our 28 page Course catalog will be inserted in the Bucks County Herald (8/23 & 9/13) , Doylestown Intelligencer & Courier Times (8/28), Advance of Bucks County (Newtown & Yardley - 9/14), Hopewell Valley News (Lambertville, Titusville, Hopewell & Pennington - 9/14), ICON Magazine (9/1) and distributed locally.

Browse the "Catalog" tab and detailed course descriptions or view the downloadable PDF version available via the panel at the right.

If you know a keyword (e.g, Italian) or the course code (2 letters/3 digits) for the courses you are interested in, use the "Catalog Search" or the "Quick Purchase" panel on the right to quickly go there. The "Advanced Search" gives you more possibilities (e.g., 1 session only classes or classes that are held on Wednesday, etc.)

The Community School of New Hope-Solebury was established in 1978 as an independent adult school; we now serve more than 1,000 students each year. We are proud and appreciative of our long association with The New Hope-Solebury School District; most of our classes are held at the New Hope-Solebury High School at 182 West Bridge Street, New Hope, PA 18938.
