Matthew H Schwarz has been performing and writing rock, classical, and European folk music for over 20 years (mostly as "Matt Schwarz").  He composes orchestral and chamber music that combine classical roots with his folk, progressive rock, and heavy metal influences.  Recent recordings include his String Quartet in D Minor (by the Carpe Diem String Quartet), and Matt’s harp playing on “An Ode To Dragons” by Denver metal band Stormkeep.  In addition to years of private composition lessons, Matt holds a Master’s degree in Music Theory from the University of Colorado.
