Rozella G. Clyde is a life-long educator with a passion for Civics and Law Related Education. During the 42 years she worked in New York City public schools, Dr. Clyde helped launch four different NYC public high schools with a Law Related Education focus. She was President of the Association of Teachers of Social Studies, organized regional conferences and led professional development and multi-cultural opportunities for educators on both a borough and city-wide focus.
As the Educational Director for Clydeoscope Educational Consultants, LLC, Dr. Clyde has led university students on a Sustainability Study within the Cilento region of Italy and prepared Chinese students in Qingdao, China to pass the TOFEL and GRE exams. She is a member of NJEA, the NJ Council for the Social Studies, and chair of the Friends of NCSS Community for the National Council for the Social Studies.
Dr. Clyde serves as the Educational and Membership Director for the Morristown Area League of Woman Voters and is co-chair of the NJ State LWV Education Committee. She has testified on behalf of the LWV NJ before the state legislature and has served as a delegate to the LWV US convention.
Dr. Clyde lives in Chatham, NJ with her husband, Jim where she serves as Chair of the Chatham Borough Green Team, is a Commissioner on the Chatham Borough Environmental Commission, is a member of the Economic Development Committee, and of the Borough Undergrounding Committee. Her two children, their spouses and five grandchildren live in in New York City and on Long Island.
