Portraiture is more than just creating someone’s likeness; it is also about capturing someone’s spirit. In addition, portraiture is about understanding how the skull is formed, how to use light and depth to create a face. This course is open to both beginners and advanced students. Note to students who have taken this class before: We will be utilizing ink and employing shading techniques as part of the curriculum. Supply List: 11x14 Strathmore drawing pad, kneaded erasers, 2B pencils (preferably Staedtler or Derwent) , Black Micron pen set, and a charged cell phone.
