Come discover a new place to walk on the beach! Raritan Bay is an underappreciated waterfront and is much closer (< 1hr) than the "shore" proper. Horseshoe crab spawning occurs in May and June, with peak spawning occurring on evening high tides during the full and new moons. (Learn more at https://horseshoecrab.org/nh/spawn.html). Bring a flashlight or headlamp if you want to see the crabs after dark. We will walk from Old Bridge Waterfront Park to Cliffwood Beach, spending some time walking on the sand, a round-trip distance of about 3 miles. Wear good walking shoes. Directions and parking instructions will be emailed one week prior to event. No refund if moved to rain date.
Rain Date: Sunday, May 31, 2026
