1725) High Mountain Park Preserve
 

High Mountain Park Preserve in Wayne has spectacular and varied topography and scenery.  It is a must-go for local hikers. Highlights are Franklin Clove (a ravine with rock outcrops reportedly used as shelters by Native Americans), several waterfalls, impressive rock formations and a possible off-trail adventure to a mysterious leaning rock.  Hike is over difficult terrain–rocky and muddy.  Excellent balance and strong footwear required; hiking poles recommended. About 4 miles total hiking at a modest pace, with several moderate hills. Rain Date: Saturday, June 20.
