Stress, anxiety and depression are endemic in our busy, fast paced life. We tend to think that situations or people in our life are the causes of our stress or unhappiness, so we then spend a lot of time mentally trying to figure out how to fix those situations or people. This can result in feelings of anxiety or leave us simply overwhelmed by the stress and demands of everyday life.
In this 4-week series, we will explore meditation methods and ways of thinking derived from Buddha’s teachings that will help us to let go of our stressed and anxious minds and deal with our negative emotions more confidently and effectively. Everybody is welcome – no need for any previous experience of meditation. Students may bring a chair cushion for comfort, but it is not required.
