The Bottle Hill Big Band is a 19-piece band with a repertoire that spans the classics from the 1930’s and 1940’s through the big band music of today. We honor the music of Glenn Miller, Count Basie, Duke Ellington, and other greats, and more recent artists like Chuck Mangione, and Maynard Ferguson. We balance instrumental charts and horn features with vocal numbers like those popularized by Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, Bobby Darin, and more. In addition to familiar standards, we play the best swing charts of the 1950’s through the hottest big band music from the bands of Buddy Rich, Tom Kubis, and Gordon Goodwin’s Big Phat Band and others. The BHBB welcomes musicians to sit in and contribute their talents. Rehearsals are currently Monday evenings, 7:30 to 9:00 pm in Morristown. Interested?
