361) Get To Know Your Sewing Machine

Learn how to thread your machine, wind bobbins, choose the correct needle and thread, basic maintenance, and what all those pressure feet and stitches are for.  Get any questions answered that you may have about your machine.  Not for vintage, industrial, or embroidery machines.  $5 handout fee payable to instructor at first class.  

Bring each week to class:

Sewing machine in good working order, including foot pedal, power cord, accessories that come with the machine (such as special pressure feet and tools)

owner's manual

extension cord

spool of thread (color not important)

empty bobbin 

basic sewing notions: thread scissors, pins, small ruler or seam gauge, small screwdriver (usually comes with machine)

preferable, but not necessary:  scraps of cotton woven fabric

Additional Information:
Masks optional. Use parking lot in rear of building. Site administrator will greet students at back door; please do not arrive more than 15 minutes in advance of class. No food allowed.
