125) The Fates Were Favorably Inclined: A History of Westfield, New Jersey

Join Barbara Wolf Burton, author of a new history of Westfield titled The Fates Were Favorably Inclined, A History of Westfield, New Jersey as she takes a fresh look at some of the artifacts, images and stories of the people who have shaped the town from farming community to prosperous suburb. Those stories reflect times of turbulence and unrest as well as times of great progress. Released in conjunction with Westfield’s 300th year celebration, the book begins with the glaciers and ends with the as yet unfinished story of the Covid-19 pandemic. You will learn facts about Westfield that you may not have known and discovered events you did not know took place.  Choose class code #125 to receive an autographed copy of the book with your registration; the inscription can be provided when registering or by sending an email by November 1 to tasinfo@theadultschool.org.
