This mixed topic class focuses on the traditional drawing techniques used to draw still life set ups and students own
photos. Working with graphite, charcoal, and color pencil, students learn the basic structure, form and proportion that
make each set up unique. Attention is given to variations of light and shadow and how to combine skills to achieve a
vibrant, realistic and beautiful result. All levels welcome!
This class will work from photographs and objects.
A set of sketching pencils
Black ink pen (Pilot or fine sharpie work well).
Paper - I always recommend Canson, Mixed Media, 11 by 14 pad

No class 10/11 & 11/1. Students must follow current CDC masking guidelines. Supply List: Charcoal, White pastels, A set of sketching pencils, Blending sticks, Black ink pen (Pilot or fine sharpie work well), Paper (I always recommend Canson, Mixed Media, 11 by 14 pad), Toned Paper, Optional: color pencils
