The dates, times, and/or delivery method (in-person or remote) of this class are subject to change as needed. All registered students will be notified via email and/or phone if any changes occur. If you do not receive a notification from the Adult Education office, the class will run as scheduled.

Our Basic Life Support course teaches participants, including medical professionals and lifeguards, essential lifesaving skills and provides a nationally recognized two year certification from the American Heart Association.

Basic Life Support focuses on:

  • High-quality CPR: For all ages (infants, children, adults)

  • Teamwork: 2-rescuer CPR techniques

  • Safety: Use of barrier devices to prevent infection

  • Technology: Proper use of Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs)

With updated guidelines that reflect the latest AHA standards for the most effective CPR techniques, this course aims to equip individuals with the confidence and skills to effectively respond to cardiac emergencies and save lives.
