This courses consists of both classroom instruction (192 hours) and a supervised clinical practicum (160 hours) covering a wide range of essential skills including:

Patient Care: Taking patient histories, vital signs, preparing patients for exams, assisting with procedures.

Clinical Procedures: Collecting and processing specimens, performing diagnostic tests, preparing and administering medications (as delegated).

Safety and Infection Control: Aseptic techniques and infection control measures.

Professionalism: Communication skills, medical ethics, and professionalism.

Certification Preparation: Prepares students to take the Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) exam offered by the National Health Careers Association (NHA), a nationally recognized credential.
Clinical Practicum:

Provides valuable hands-on experience in a real-world medical setting.

Allows students to apply classroom learning and develop practical skills.
