Veterinary Assisting II develops practical skills and knowledge essential for working in a veterinary hospital.

  • Hospital Duties: Assisting veterinarians during examinations and procedures.

  • Patient Care: Obtaining patient histories, administering medications, and providing basic patient care.

  • Laboratory Procedures: Performing basic laboratory tests such as hematology, urinalysis, and parasitology.

  • Surgical Assisting: Introduction to basic surgical procedures and assisting veterinarians in the surgical suite.
