Program Requirements:

1. Complete the ATI TEAS test with BCIT Adult Ed.  Overall Minimum level of "Proficiency" 57.8%) is required.  69%for Reading, 60% for English and Language Usage, 63.3% for Math and 45.8% Science.  Student must test at BCIT. Registration for the teas is available on our website by clicking this link. No scores from outside testing will be accepted.

2. Attend a mandatory orientation session.

3. Complete all program application forms.

4. Pay required first installment to the program.

5. Submit all program prerequisities by the given deadline

Course Overview

This 11-month program covers a wide range of topics, including:

• Health Sciences: Anatomy and physiology, pharmacology, nutrition, and medical terminology.

• Social Sciences: Psychology, sociology, and human development.

• Humanities: Communication, ethics, and cultural diversity.

• Nursing Theory: Fundamental nursing concepts, patient assessment, and care planning.

• Lab Skills Training: Hands-on training in essential nursing skills, such as vital signs, medication administration, and wound care.

• Clinical Experiences: Provides valuable practical experience in various healthcare settings, allowing students to apply their knowledge and skills under the supervision of qualified professionals.

• NCLEX-PN Preparation: Prepares students to sit for the National Council Licensure Examination for Practical Nurses (NCLEX-PN), the national licensing exam for LPNs.

• Career Focus: Equips graduates with the knowledge, skills, and values necessary for a successful career as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
