This course covers advanced water topics such as sources of water, characteristics of water sources, SDWA standards, potable water sampling and analysis, water treatment, disinfection, surface water treatment, aeration, coagulation-flocculation, sedimentation, filtration, softening, pH adjustment-corrosion control, carbon absorption, construction standards, pipe tapping, valves, fire hydrants, safety, storage tanks, cross connection control, pumps and motors, instrumentation and controls, meters, records, and public relations.  Prerequisite: Introduction to Water and Wastewater Operation (WWA101)
