Theater Stars Perform Short Stories: Monday, April 12, 2010.
Starring Christine Ebersole, Tony Award-winning actor (Grey Gardens, 42nd Street). Isaiah Sheffer, host of "Selected Shorts," National Public Radio's award-winning series of short fiction read by actors. Anthony Chisholm, an extraordinary actor part of the August Wilson legacy on Broadway. Actor Emily Zacharias serves as master of ceremonies.
Short Story Contest
The Adult School sponsors an annual short story contest along with Celebrity Readings. Any adult aged 18 or older may enter. Deadline for submissions: Feb. 5, 2010. Stories must be works of fiction. They should be typed double spaced and should be no more than 4,000 words. Please place your name, address and telephone number and the word count at the top of the first page. Please put your name at the top of all subsequent pages. One entry per person. Stories can be emailed to schoolinfo@somadultschool.org or mailed to South Orange Maplewood Adult School, 17 Parker Ave., Maplewood, NJ 07040. The winner, who will be announced on the night of Celebrity Readings, receives $200. The winning entry will published in Matters Magazine.
