KEVIN HILL

 

Kevin Hill has taught guitar, music theory, piano and saxophone for over 15 years and is a former faculty member at Rutgers University's Mason Gross Extension Division. He currently teaches privately and at Music Tech in New Jersey. Many of his students perform professionally

One of the most exciting young guitarists in New Jersey, Kevin Hill is a Summit Records Recording artist and his 2014 release "Tolerance" received airplay on a national level.

With the band Secret Sound he has shared billings with artists such as Johnny Winter, Levon Helm, Dickey Betts, Booker T. Jones, Gov't Mule, Jon Fishman, Johnnie Johnson and many more.

As a jazz artist he has shared stages with artists such as Bucky Pizzarelli, Bob Mintzer, Pedrito Martinez, Eric Lewis, Michael Doucet, Rhoda Scott and his longtime mentor Hammond organ master Radam Schwartz.

As a solo acoustic artist he is employed by Live Nation as a VIP entertainer and has appeared at concerts featuring top touring artists including Sting, Neil Young, Peter Gabriel, The Foo Fighters, Earth, Wind and Fire, Kid Rock and the Dave Matthews Band.

He has appeared at every major venue in New Jersey including NJPAC, the Susquehanna Bank Arts Center, PNC Bank Arts Center, the Stanhope House and The Stone Pony, where he has taken the stage over 50 times.
