JANET PALUMBO is primarily interested in off-loom bead weaving techniques. Working with seed beads and crystals, she finds turning little bits of glass into wearable beaded fabric to be endlessly fascinating. Her designs have been published in BEADWORK Magazine and Perlen Poesie (Germany) and, with Reem Iversen, she is an instructor at Bead Fest Philadelphia. Janet and Reem sell kits and patterns for their original designs under the shop name “Two Beads Are Better Than One” at www.2BeadsRBetterThan1.etsy.com. You can also follow their beading adventures on Face Book’s www.facebook.com/2BRBT1!
REEM IVERSEN brings her multicultural perspective into her beadwork. Her love for bead weaving follows a longtime passion for incorporating beads into her knitting and crochet projects. She finds the rhythmic movement of thread and needle around the beads to be meditative and inspiring. Several of her projects are featured in BEADWORK Magazine and Perlen Poesie (Germany) and, with Janet Palumbo, she is an instructor at Bead Fest Philadelphia. Reem and Janet sell kits and patterns for their original designs under the shop name “Two Beads Are Better Than One” at www.2BeadsRBetterThan1.etsy.com.
