Roberto Bentjerodt, Owner of Hudson Grinding Knife Sharpening Company, has been sharpening knives for over 20 years. This love of knives and sharpening came out of working in kitchens in Brooklyn, Manhattan and Hoboken. He started out only sharpening with Japanese whetstones, later training with two master sharpeners on using slow speed grinders to achieve sharper than new edges. He started with three farmers markets in Jersey City and now is sharpening at over 13 markets including Hoboken, Teaneck, Bedminster, Madison, Morristown, Princeton, River Edge. He is a member of the Guild of Professional Sharpeners and has over 50 5-star reviews for his services on Google. He also does private sharpening events in apartment buildings, large private and 55-plus communities and sharpening parties.
