Basic Photography III: Advanced Digital
Designed for intermediate and advanced level digital photographers, this course will teach students how to develop their own professional digital workflow, master the shooting and processing of RAW files, and begin to pre-visualize images based on their ability to enhance their photographs in post. Emphasis is on maximizing image potential by creatively processing RAW files using Adobe Camera RAW and finishing image enhancement in Photoshop. We will also probe deeper into light, lighting, lenses and composition. Weekly creative assignments and critique promote implementation of newly-learned techniques and encourage experimentation using post-production to maximize your photo’s impact.
Prerequisite: “Basic Photography I: The Fundamentals” and “Basic Photography II: Diving into Digital.” Students must be proficient with their camera, computer and should own and understand the basic use of a current version of Adobe Photoshop (which includes Bridge and Adobe Camera RAW converter) or a current version of Adobe Lightroom.
