Desktop Publishing with Adobe InDesign with Michael Pliskin
Adobe InDesign makes it very easy to create flyers, brochures, business cards, mar- keting postcards and photo books. This hands-on workshop will show students the basics in creating compelling designs that they can print themselves or send to a professional printer. Students will learn everything from page layout to typography.
Discover how to:
• Create printed materials from scratch
• Format type
• Link photos that will automatically update when the original is changed
• Create style sheets to streamline formatting
• Wrap text around graphic elements and images
• Output to PDFs for printing or website downloads
This course will be taught in JDPW's digital lab. Students will have their own workstation equipped with a 27" iMac computer loaded with Photoshop CS6 and InDesign CS6. Bamboo Pen & Touch digital tablets will be available if needed. Although participants will be learning using Photoshop CS6 and InDesign CS6, the skills taught are cross-platform to earlier versions of Photoshop and InDesign.
